Contribution Guidelines for Opinions

MCE welcomes thoughtful, original, and well-researched contributions from academics, journalists, analysts, and practitioners with expertise in international affairs. We value informed perspectives, rigorous analysis, and engaging writing that bring clarity to complex global issues.

Coverage Areas

We focus on topics that align with our editorial mission to provide in-depth analysis of international relations and global trends. Contributors are encouraged to submit opinions in the following areas:
Geopolitical and geostrategic developments
Warfare and technological developments
Islamic and modern military & naval history
Maritime Security

Length

Opinion Pieces: 1,000–1,500 words

Format

Submit your script in Word (.doc or .docx) format
Use clear headings and subheadings for readability
Include references or links to credible sources
Provide a short author bio (50–100 words) with your institutional affiliation and any relevant links

Ethical & Editorial Standards

Originality is mandatory – Submissions must be your own work and not previously published elsewhere
No plagiarism – All pieces will be checked for originality; plagiarised work will be rejected outright
Fact-checking responsibility lies with the author; sources should be reputable and verifiable
The editorial team reserves the right to edit for clarity, length, and style, while preserving the author’s voice
